Manalox 360
This aluminum diisopropoxy acetoacetic ester chelate is quite sensitive to atmospheric moisture in the solvent-free state. However, a more stable, low skinning condition can be achieved by making a 50-75% solution in ink oil solvent prior to use and/or storage.
Solutions can be added to the varnish at temperatures of 150°-180°. Manalox produces isopropyl alcohol as a byproduct of the gelling reaction.
